Head of Development and Technology
Patrick Beckedorf has been working on software development and the digitization of complex problems since he bought his first computer. Following his training as an IT specialist for application development, he studied Business and Information Systems Engineering (B.Sc.) at the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart as well as Information Management and Engineering (M.Sc.) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In addition, he worked mulitple years in software and consulting companies as well as other IT projects, which enabled him to gain extensive experience in the engineering process and development of software. This includes, but is not limited to the development of enterprise software, big data solutions and distributed systems in various roles with focus on highly scalable and fault tolerant microservice architectures slicing business requirements. He is open-minded and knows how to link development teams and other stakeholders together. His interests are reading books, visiting conferences, speaking, discussing hot topics, playing chess and table tennis.
Head of Operations and Data Science
Marvin Wiest has been working on information technology and economic problems in a human-centric approach for many years. Following his world trip as a backpacker, he studied Business and Information Systems Engineering (B.Sc.) at the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart as well as Information Management and Engineering (M.Sc.) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He worked in all colours of organizations like mid-sized enterprises, corporates, auditing companies, as well as foundations and associations, which enabled him to gain extensive experience in various business areas. This includes, but is not limited to the planning and execution of audit and fraud analytic projects as well as marketing campaigns, the implementation of data mining technology and the design of business transformations. He loves the entrepreneurial spirit and concepts, as well as reaching out to any interesting conversation that enriches his counter part and himself. He is engaged in various associations and is an advocate of systems thinking in personal and business development.
Prof. Dr. Jan Seedorf
Head of Data Protection and Information Security
Jan Seedorf teaches at the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart in the areas of IT security and communication networks. He studied computer science with specialization in IT Security at the University of Hamburg. He taught and researched as a scientific assistant at the department of safety in distributed Systems at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hamburg. Further, he carried out various international industrial research and development projects at NEC Laboratories Europe in Heidelberg as well as technology transfer projects in the field of communications networks. He earned his doctorate at the University of Passau on the subject of security in high decentralized, distributed applications and is the author of over 50 scientific publications, nine granted patents and three international Internet standards. He is a member of the technical program committee of various scientific conferences, a reviewer for the EU and a reviewer for the CAST IT Security Award and IETF.
Head of Client Development and User Experience
Florian Kienzle has been working on software development and intuitive interface design for decades. Following his training as an IT specialist for application development, he decided not to study at the university. Instead he started exploring knowledge by himself. In addition to his further self-education, he worked in software companies as well as other IT projects, which enabled him to gain extensive experience in the development of software. This includes, but is not limited to the development of SaaS solutions and the conducting of interviews with focus on highly intuitive and easy to use interfaces, reducing complexity. He is very curious and knows how to ask the right questions. His interests are competitive gaming, going to the gym, designing cool stuff, reading tech books and attending advanced training courses.
